One guide, one direct contact

Professional knowledge with a personal approach

I am an official Canary Islands tour guide and a Starlight Guide. I have spent more than 18 years accompanying travellers from different countries around Tenerife. I work with private tours because they allow me to prepare each proposal carefully, explain without rushing and adapt to the realities of the island.

Professional qualifications

Training, authorisation and assurance for each kind of experience

There are many ways to travel around Tenerife with someone else, but they are not all the same. Transport with commentary is not necessarily a professionally interpreted visit. These are my professional qualifications and registrations and what they mean in practice.

GTI-289

Official Canary Islands Tourist Guide

This is the professional authorisation under which I interpret the islands’ natural and cultural heritage, landscape and history.

no. 40 · 120 hours of training

Starlight Guide

This is the specific qualification under which I prepare and guide night-sky interpretation and astronomical observation with a telescope.

AFDA0611 · Level 2 Professional Certificate

Low and medium mountain route guide

It qualifies me to plan and guide low and medium mountain routes that do not require climbing, mountaineering or skiing, and includes first aid and first-response skills.

TA-4-0026356.16 · General Tourism Register

Active tourism

The activity is registered and has the current civil liability and assistance or accident insurance required by law, including search, rescue, transfer and assistance cover.

I-0005095.1 · General Tourism Register

Tourism intermediary

This registration allows me to coordinate and sell third-party tourism services within a proposal, with clear pre-contract information about inclusions and applicable terms.

Diploma in Tourism

My academic foundation for destination interpretation, visitor care and itinerary planning.

More than 18 years with travellers

Experience helps with the details that make a day work: realistic driving times, changing conditions between coast and mountain, and alternatives when a route needs to be adjusted.

How I prepare a private tour

The work begins before the day itself.

  1. You tell me about the trip. Dates, party size, accommodation, interests, available time and preferred guiding language.
  2. I check what is realistic. Availability, distances, daylight, season and any relevant operating conditions.
  3. You receive a written proposal. It should identify the route, duration, meeting or pick-up arrangements, included services, separate costs and final quote.
  4. We adjust and confirm. Questions are resolved before a booking is made.

Personalising a tour does not mean saying yes to every possible stop. It also means explaining what is worth doing and what does not fit comfortably into the time available.

Where I work

My tours cover different parts of Tenerife, with particular attention to two broad landscapes.

Teide and its sky. The National Park in daylight, the changing light at sunset and guided astronomy after dark. → Explore Teide and the stars

La Laguna, Anaga and northern food culture. Historic streets, laurel forest, mountain scenery, traditional food and wine. → Explore culture, nature and food

When an existing tour does not fit, I can prepare a route from the group’s own starting point. → See tailor-made Tenerife

Languages

Tours can be guided in Spanish, English or Italian. The language is agreed before confirmation.

This website is available in Spanish, English and German. The German version is provided so that travellers can understand the service before enquiring; it does not mean that guiding is offered in German.

When conditions change

Tenerife can have very different conditions at the same time: wind at altitude, haze, low cloud in Anaga or a temporary access restriction. The applicable conditions and alternatives should therefore be clear in the proposal before booking.

No guide can guarantee a cloudless sky or a perfect sunset. What can be offered is realistic planning and clear information about the experience being proposed.

Groups, pace and individual needs

I do not publish one general maximum group size. When more seats or additional support are needed, a suitable vehicle, driver or other professionals can be coordinated while keeping the tour private.

Tell me if your group includes young children, older travellers, reduced mobility, a cruise schedule or a flight constraint. That information helps determine what can be proposed responsibly.

Frequently asked questions

What is a Starlight Guide? A specialist qualification in astronomy communication and observation. For the traveller, it means the sky is interpreted and the observation is prepared rather than treated as an unplanned stop.

Can you guide in German? No. Guiding is available in Spanish, English and Italian. The website, but not the tour, is available in German.

Can you arrange larger groups? Yes, subject to the appropriate transport and professional support being detailed in the proposal.

Can I request a tour that is not on the website? Yes. Describe what you have in mind and I will explain whether it is workable.

How do I request a proposal? Send your dates and group details. Before confirming, you will know the proposed route, included services and quote.

Tell me about your trip

Let me know when you are visiting, how many people are travelling and what you would most like to understand or experience. I will suggest the closest existing tour or explain how a different route could be prepared.
